She came through slowly, bound in gold and green, quiet but not broken. I did not plan to paint her this way, but the chains kept appearing, and so did her strength. There is something in her stillness that speaks of waiting, of knowing, of rising. Her beauty is not in being untouched, but in what she carries and sheds. If she speaks to something in you, maybe it is time to bring her home.
